The Senior Risk Management Analyst plays a critical leadership role within Swedish Health Services’ comprehensive, system‑wide Risk Management program. As an experienced healthcare risk professional, you will partner closely with the Director of Risk Management to plan, direct, and coordinate initiatives that proactively identify, analyze, and reduce risks across the organization.

In this highly visible role, you will oversee key risk programs, lead investigations of clinical incidents, support claims management and litigation efforts, and collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to drive a culture of safety. You will serve as a trusted resource to physicians, caregivers, and administrative teams, providing expert guidance on complex risk issues. As a skilled communicator and presenter, you will also support the delivery of both scheduled and ad‑hoc education designed to strengthen risk awareness across the system.

This position supports assigned clinical service lines within the Swedish system, which includes five acute‑care hospitals, two ambulatory care centers, and more than 1,200 employed providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate system‑wide risk management programs in collaboration with the Director of Risk Management.
  • Oversee selected risk management programs to ensure thorough identification, analysis, and mitigation of organizational risks.
  • Manage incident and claim‑related activities, including investigation of incidents, loss control strategies, mitigation efforts, and litigation support for assigned clinical service lines.
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert and resource for physicians, clinical staff, and leadership to clarify and resolve complex risk management issues.
  • Deliver high‑quality educational programs, providing both scheduled and ad‑hoc presentations as a strong, effective public speaker and advocate for risk‑reduction practices.
  • Support system integration and alignment, ensuring consistent risk management practices across all hospitals, ambulatory centers, and provider groups within the Swedish system.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Insurance or Risk Management, or healthcare related clinical degree --or--
  • 6 years healthcare risk management experience with, at least, 2 years experience in the role of Risk Manager in a healthcare environment
  • Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
  • 4 years of experience in healthcare Risk Management
  • Working in a medico-legal environment with understanding of claims management principles
  • Working experience coaching and coordinating disclosures and resolutions of unexpected outcomes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • RN Degree

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
