We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Robotics Systems Engineer to join our collaborative team. This role will involve a hybrid work model, combining the flexibility of remote work with essential on-site collaboration and hands-on development. You will play a critical role in the design, development, integration, and testing of complex robotic systems for a variety of cutting-edge applications. This includes developing control systems, optimizing robot kinematics and dynamics, implementing sensor fusion algorithms, and ensuring seamless integration with larger automation frameworks. You will work closely with mechanical engineers, software developers, and field application specialists to bring sophisticated robotic solutions to life. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of our advanced robotic platforms.
Responsibilities: Design and implement advanced control algorithms for robotic manipulators, mobile robots, and autonomous systems. Develop and optimize robot kinematics, dynamics, and motion planning algorithms. Integrate and calibrate various sensors (e.g., cameras, LiDAR, IMUs) and implement sensor fusion techniques. Develop and manage system-level software architecture for robotic platforms. Perform system integration, testing, and validation of robotic systems in simulated and real-world environments. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to hardware, software, and control systems. Collaborate with mechanical design teams to ensure optimal hardware-software integration. Contribute to the development of simulation environments for robot testing and validation. Document system designs, test procedures, and performance metrics. Mentor junior engineers and share expertise in robotics and control systems. Qualifications: Master's degree or Ph.D. in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in robotics system design and implementation. Strong proficiency in C++ and Python programming languages. Extensive experience with robotics middleware such as ROS (Robot Operating System). Solid understanding of control theory, kinematics, dynamics, and motion planning. Experience with real-time operating systems and embedded systems development. Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., Gazebo, CoppeliaSim). Experience with sensor integration and data processing (e.g., computer vision, LiDAR). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to thrive in a hybrid work environment.
