We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist in Stromal Immunology to be fully lab based at our Company's Cambridge location.

Join our Immunology team in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and help shape the future of treatments for inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. In this role you will evaluate and apply novel experimental approaches, partnering across departments with discovery teams to implement cutting-edge laboratory technologies. You will drive the identification of innovative therapeutic targets and contribute directly to the development of new therapies and medicines that improve patient lives. We are seeking an enthusiastic scientist with a strong track record of delivering timely, robust data packages. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, able to design and execute their own experiments, and comfortable taking projects from conception through to clear, reproducible results. You should be proactive in problem-solving, able to communicate findings effectively to multidisciplinary teams, and committed to advancing research that leads to novel therapies and improved patient outcomes.

What you will do:

  • Design and execute experiments, analyze and interpret complex dataset to identify and validate novel targets in immunology/ inflammation/autoimmunity
  • Apply knowledge of key signal transduction pathways to design appropriate experiments
  • Be a key contributor in lab and in meetings to progress multiple programs
  • Conceptualize and enact innovative approaches (including novel technologies) to solve program objectives and issues
  • Manage project-specific milestones and timelines
  • Communicate science and strategy to stakeholders and management
  • Collaborate effectively both internally & externally, within and across functional areas
  • Demonstrates a “one-team” mindset by proactively engaging in and leadership of lab and department initiatives
  • Actively participates in cultural initiatives & embraces DE&I principles, promotes psychological safety and supports a work environment that positively influences others and enables all to bring their true selves to work

What you will need to be successful in this role:

Required Experience:

  • B.Sc in Biological Sciences, Immunology, Pathology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, ore related STEM field with 7+ years of professional research experience, M.Sc. with 4+ years of professional research experience or PhD and 0+ years of experience.
  • Deep knowledge of inflammatory and autoimmune disease mechanisms
  • Hands on experience in assay development, optimization, qualification/validation, and troubleshooting across multiple cellular immunology techniques such as flow cytometry (including multicolor panel design and analysis), proliferation, cytotoxicity assays.
  • Practical experience in designing and executing complex multicellular systems and co-culture models.
  • Strong ability to interpret data from biological, biochemical, and immunological assays and to design appropriate follow-up experiments.
  • Familiarity with immunofluorescence microscopy/ high-content imaging is preferred
