The Developer Experience (DevX) team is committed to empowering all engineers at Coinbase to create high-quality products while remaining productive and engaged. We enhance this environment by providing the necessary infrastructure, libraries, frameworks, and tools for efficient application development. Within DevX, we have specialized pods; the CI pod is responsible for developing and managing top-tier version control and continuous integration infrastructure. Our team oversees one of the largest Kubernetes clusters at Coinbase and has innovated custom controllers to optimize workload management. Currently, we are strategically migrating our source code to the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain backend productivity infrastructure services and systems.
• Design scalable and fault-tolerant solutions for novel challenges using modern cloud technologies and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers and leadership to translate our product and technical vision into actionable quarterly roadmaps.
• Deliver exceptional support to our internal engineering teams.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in designing, building, scaling, and operating large-scale, high-throughput infrastructure.
• Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code that meets customer needs.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities, with a knack for identifying issues, determining their root causes, and driving them to resolution.
• Ability to responsibly utilize generative AI tools and copilots in daily workflows, continuously learning as these tools evolve, and applying human-in-the-loop methods to achieve business-ready outputs that enhance efficiency, cost, and quality.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in Golang, Ruby, AWS.
• Experience with building and operating GitHub/GitHub Actions.

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your location, the target annual base salary for this position ranges from $186,065 to $218,900 USD. Total compensation may also include bonus eligibility and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
