About The Role

In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the core architecture of our Fintech Platform. You will work in one of our three squadsPayments, Disbursements, or GRCto build, optimize, and scale the backend microservices that drive our financial operations. This is a unique opportunity for a talented engineer who is passionate about secure, highperformance financial systems and has experience in building solutions that handle complex payment, compliance, and disbursement workflows.

Technology Stack

• We are technology agnostic and value candidates with diverse backgrounds. While familiarity with the following is helpful, your willingness to learn and adapt is paramount:
• Frontend:

React, HTTP, HTML/DOM, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX

• Backend:

Python, Flask/FastAPI, REST APIs, Redis, SQL, gRPC

• Cloud:

Google Cloud services (Firestore, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Google Artifact Registry, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud Composer, etc.)

• Infrastructure:

Kubernetes, Terraform, NewRelic, PagerDuty

Responsibilities

• Platform Architecture & Development:

Architect and implement scalable backend microservices inside the Payments, Disbursements, or GRC squad.

• Payments Squad:

Develop and optimize systems for securely collecting funds from users, ensuring efficient transaction processing.

• Disbursements Squad:

Design and implement robust services that handle the secure and timely disbursement of funds to beneficiaries.

• GRC Squad:

Build and enhance systems for user onboarding, KYC, and compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

• Infrastructure & Scalability:

Design and manage infrastructure capable of handling millions of daily requests while maintaining the highest standards of security and performance.

• Cloud Integration:

Utilize Google Cloud services and industrystandard tools to build and maintain distributed systems.

• Crossfunctional Collaboration:

Work closely with product, operations, compliance, and other business units to deliver holistic financial solutions.

• Mentorship & Growth:

Mentor junior developers and promote best practices across the engineering team.

• Continuous Improvement:

Leverage user feedback and system analytics to refine and iterate on platform capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
• Fluent or advanced English preferred. Upperintermediate is also fine, as long as you can communicate clearly in a professional setting.
• Proven track record of building, shipping, and iterating on software applications, particularly in the Fintech domain.
• Solid foundation in algorithms and data structures.
• Experience designing and implementing web services, including REST APIs.
• Familiarity with architectural patterns such as Hexagonal Architecture, EventDriven Architecture, and practices like A/B Testing, Feature Flags, and Gradual Rollouts.
• Domain Expertise:

Experience in building and maintaining payment systems, financial disbursement solutions, or compliancedriven platforms is highly desirable.
