Senior Technical Scrum Master – AI Platforms & Knowledge Systems
Location: Multiple U.S. Locations / Hybrid
Compensation: $150,000 – $160,000 base
Overview
We are seeking a highly technical Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Lead to support large-scale AI platform and knowledge management engineering initiatives within a rapidly growing enterprise technology organization.
This role supports engineering teams responsible for the data, workflows, and knowledge systems powering next-generation AI conversational experiences, intelligent virtual agents, and automated customer interaction platforms.
The environment is highly technical, fast-moving, and execution-focused, with multiple Scrum teams and hundreds of engineers contributing across AI platform, data engineering, backend services, integrations, and workflow orchestration initiatives.
This is not a traditional Scrum Master role focused solely on ceremonies and process administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to operate credibly with engineering teams, challenge weak assumptions, drive accountability, and help teams execute effectively at scale.
What You’ll Work On
- AI-powered conversational platforms and workflow systems
- Enterprise knowledge management and AI data infrastructure
- Data pipelines and services supporting AI response generation
- Backend systems feeding large-scale AI and automation platforms
- Cross-functional coordination across multiple Agile engineering teams
- Delivery execution within a complex, rapidly evolving AI ecosystem
Responsibilities
- Lead Agile delivery efforts across multiple highly technical engineering teams
- Coordinate execution across several concurrent Scrum teams and shared platform initiatives
- Partner closely with engineering leadership, architects, product teams, and technical stakeholders
- Drive sprint execution, dependency management, and delivery predictability
- Identify risks, blockers, and execution gaps early and escalate appropriately
- Help teams maintain focus, accountability, and operational efficiency
- Facilitate planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and delivery reviews
- Track delivery metrics, team velocity, and execution health across programs
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within a large-scale engineering organization
- Help technical teams navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities in a rapidly growing AI environment
Required Qualifications
- Previous hands-on background in software engineering, development, or technical systems engineering
- Strong understanding of modern software development practices and Agile delivery
- Experience working with highly technical engineering teams in enterprise or SaaS environments
- Ability to understand and challenge technical discussions, timelines, and execution risks
- Proven experience supporting multiple Scrum teams or large engineering programs simultaneously
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable operating in high-growth, fast-changing technical environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting AI, machine learning, knowledge systems, conversational AI, or data platform initiatives
- Familiarity with cloud-native systems, APIs, distributed architectures, and data engineering concepts
- Experience working with backend platform, infrastructure, or DevOps-oriented teams
- Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or related Agile tooling
- Scrum certifications are welcome but technical credibility is significantly more important
