Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong experience in manual testing, automation frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins. The ideal candidate will ensure high product quality through a blend of hands-on testing, test automation, and continuous integration practices.
Key Responsibilities
Manual Testing
- Analyze business and functional requirements to create test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts
- Validate UI, API, and database-level functionality
Automation Testing (SDET Focus)
- Design and develop automation test scripts using tools like:
- Selenium WebDriver / Cypress / Playwright
- TestNG / JUnit / PyTest
- Build and maintain test automation frameworks (Hybrid, Data-driven, BDD)
- Automate API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate
- Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Perform code reviews and improve test coverage
Jenkins & CI/CD
- Configure and manage Jenkins jobs/pipelines for automated test execution
- Integrate test suites with CI/CD workflows
- Schedule and trigger automated regression runs
- Analyze build results and test reports
- Work with DevOps teams to optimize pipeline performance
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and SDLC
- Experience in manual and automation testing
- Programming knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Experience with test frameworks and automation tools
CI/CD & Tools
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins
- Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes (nice to have)
