KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This individual will be responsible for the following areas for the Business Services and Consumer, Technology, or Industrials vertical(s):

  • Technology and Data
  • Evaluate new AI tools and data to improve workflows (first looks, research, screening)
  • Help to implement new tools and act as an intermediary between IT, Data Science and the PE team members
  • Identify internal use cases for AI across sourcing, diligence and portfolio support
  • Deal Team Support
  • Assist with early screenings of investment themes and investment opportunities
  • Develop systems and screening tools to monitor targets and subsectors
  • Support inbound opportunity evaluation and prioritization
  • Research
  • Complete deep dive analysis on industry sectors and market trends
  • Assist deal team with diligence efforts including strategic analysis, market mapping and expert network calls
  • Synthesize findings for internal updates and diligence streams
  • Relationship Management
  • Leverage BCP network and tools to find warm introductions to targets
  • Maintain Affinity CRM (entry of interactions, pipelines & trackers, reporting)
  • Own map of banker network/intermediaries and work directly with coverage officers to coordinate on conferences and guide inbound investment opportunities
  • Track executive movements via LinkedIn, Expert Networks and other sources
  • Maintain advisor/river guides database in collaboration with Talent team
  • Pipeline / Deal Database
  • Maintain target pipeline for vertical
  • Participate in vertical meetings to update changes and track next steps
  • Ensure meeting/target follow-up activity completed
  • Monitor and track competitive deal activity/sponsor portfolios
  • Collaborate and share best practices across business units (pipeline, networks, tools)
  • Marketing Support and Event Logistics
  • Update and own Global PE Marketing Compendium
  • Create and capture vertical specific pitch decks, update vertical microsites
  • Help plan/host executive events for vertical (logistics, implementation, attendee management)
  • Provide on-site event support for conferences and executive events

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Interest and experience in AI use cases for business
  • Outstanding Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Prior experience with CRM tool and private company origination platforms (e.g., Pitchbook, Grata) preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfort with engaging a broad group of internal and external stakeholders, executive presence
  • Superior communication, both written and verbal
  • Self-starter with strong project management and follow-through skills
  • Detail-oriented, conscientious and energetic professional with ability to think creatively and independently
  • Familiarity with finance/private equity space

DESIRED BACKGROUND / EDUCATION

  • 1 to 2 years' experience in business development or sales operations preferred
  • Four-year college degree with a strong academic background

Compensation:

Expected Annual Base Salary $75,000 - $90,000

Actual base salary will be determined by a wide range of factors including but not limited to role, function, level, experience, qualifications and geographic location. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based upon factors such as individual impact, team and firm performance.
