Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Modelling professional to support Corporate Lending within the Investment Banking business. The role focuses on building, enhancing, and maintaining robust financial and valuation models used for deal structuring, pricing, and credit assessment. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and Pricing SMEs, leveraging advanced Excel capabilities, VBA, and macros to develop scalable and efficient analytical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial models for corporate lending transactions, including cash flow models, valuation models, and scenario analysis frameworks
  • Support deal structuring, pricing, and credit decisioning through detailed financial and valuation analysis
  • Build dynamic and scalable Excel-based models for forecasting, sensitivity analysis, and stress testing
  • Write efficient VBA code and macros from scratch to automate repetitive processes and improve model efficiency
  • Utilize advanced Excel 365 functionalities (LAMBDA, LET, XMATCH, Dynamic Arrays) to enhance model performance and flexibility
  • Perform valuation analysis including DCF, comparable company analysis, and transaction benchmarking
  • Collaborate with Pricing SMEs, Credit teams, and Front Office stakeholders to translate business requirements into analytical models
  • Ensure model accuracy, auditability, and documentation, adhering to internal governance standards

Key Requirements:

  • 5–10 years of experience in financial modelling, valuation, or quantitative analytics, preferably within corporate lending or investment banking
  • Strong expertise in financial statement analysis, cash flow modelling, and valuation techniques (DCF, comps, etc.)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and model structuring
  • Hands-on experience in VBA programming and macro development from scratch
  • Deep understanding of Excel 365 advanced functions (LAMBDA, LET, XMATCH, Dynamic Arrays)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and translate requirements into models

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in corporate lending, credit risk, or structured finance
  • Understanding of loan products, credit metrics, and risk assessment frameworks
  • Exposure to pricing models or deal structuring in investment banking
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environment
