KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Data Migration to join our Advisory Services practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of the comprehensive data conversion strategy by assisting in the assessment of legacy landscapes, documenting source-to-target mapping, and implementing data cleansing and governance protocols.
  • Contribute to the data conversion workstream within SAP S/4HANA programs by tracking project tasks against the plan, identifying technical risks, and providing status updates to project leadership.
  • Build and configure data conversion architecture, including ETL pipelines, staging areas, and validation protocols, utilizing tools such as SAP BTP and Datasphere to ensure efficient data orchestration.
  • Perform hands-on execution of the full data conversion lifecycle, including ETL development, participation in multiple mock cycles, data validation, and supporting final cutover activities.
  • Provide technical input and data-specific effort estimations to assist senior leadership during the sales and scoping phases of client engagements.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality data sets; contribute to the development of reusable ETL templates and automation scripts to drive project efficiency.
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three to five years of recent experience in SAP data conversion and governance, including involvement in at least one full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation (Public or Private Cloud).
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an appropriate field.
  • Proven experience in executing end-to-end data conversion tasks, including legacy system analysis, mapping field requirements, and performing data loads.
  • Strong technical command of ETL tools and data migration principles; hands-on experience with SAP-specific tools (e.g., SAP Migration Cockpit, Data Services, or Advanced Data Migration by Syniti) is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage individual workstreams or complex technical tasks within a larger SAP program, including issue resolution and proactive risk identification.
  • Strong analytical and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical data concepts to functional workstreams and client stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel as needed
