You Are

The successful candidate will work closely with UST and client stakeholders to design, build, and support enterprise-grade data platforms in a regulated financial services environment.

The Opportunity

• Supports the acquisition and ingestion of data
• Articulates technical design and development details to non-technical business partners
• Elicits, analyses, and understands business and data requirements to develop complete business solutions under the guidance of senior peers and managers, including data models (entity relationship diagrams, dimensional data models), ETL and business rules, data life-cycle management, governance, lineage, and metadata
• Ensures data is maintained in compliance with enterprise data standards, policies, and guidelines
• Develops and maintains data models using industry standard modelling tools
• Develops and maintains ETL jobs using enterprise-standard tools and platforms

What You Need

• Strong experience with production engineering and support tasks, and can leverage automation and AI-driven approaches to improve reliability and reduce the effort required to manage production environments

• Azure - Azure Databricks, Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data ASP
• Connectors - TIBCO, On-Prem SQL, SharePoint, Shared Folders
• DevOps - Strong infrastructure and Azure release engineering skills
• Languages - Python, PySpark
• Banking domain experience strongly desired
• Work Experience
• Azure DevOps - 5+ years
• Unity Catalog - 2 years
• Azure Databricks - 5+ years
• Azure Data Factory - 5+ years

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Ontario

Compensation Range: $104,000-$130,000

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year). They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.

Part-time regular and temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All Canadian employees who work in a province, territory or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
