(*in collaboration with AbbVie) About the Role: Independently leads primary market research strategy and execution for the Ingrezza franchise at Neurocrine Biosciences by researching and analyzing the company's products, markets, and competition for both HCP and Patient audiences. Collaborates with organizational stakeholders within Commercial Analytics and Operations and cross-functionally in Marketing, Sales, and Access & Reimbursement, and participates actively in commercial planning efforts by providing unbiased, objective, and actionable insights and analyses. Gathers relevant data through primary market research and, where necessary, collaborates with other team members to integrate secondary data analytics and competitive intelligence as appropriate. Independently analyzes and summarizes data into insights and recommendations that are presented to cross-functional teams and occasionally senior leadership. _ Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to): Plans and leads the execution of one or more commercial analytics market research projects: recommending the appropriate methodology, participating in selecting the vendor, negotiating contracts, developing the questionnaire/discussion guides with the appropriate internal feedback/input, leading implementation, analyzing results, presenting the findings to key internal customers, and developing actionable recommendations For assigned area or project(s), independently develops the commercial insights plan, manages related projects, and collects and manages the data in support of the overall plan Independently synthesizes complex information gathered in primary market research, identifies opportunities, and develops conclusions and recommendations that can be used by Commercial leadership to make better business decisions, better understand customer segments, competitive threats, and to identify opportunities and potential risks Provides strategic input to help shape the annual brand plan, brand/payer strategies, the launch plan and development of key performance indicators Manages the development of the insights budget and manages all approved budgets. Serves as a consultative, trusted advisor to Commercial leadership. Develops scenarios including key risks and opportunities Builds, manages and maintains relationships with key vendors of market research. Partners with Marketing and Commercial Insights & Analytics to identify market research activities to be conducted to support brand strategy and tactics Regularly communicates with senior executives and strategic partners to report analytical findings and their impacts on forecasts, inventory management and key performance metrics/indicators Other duties as assigned Requirements: BS/BA degree and 8+ years of a combination of secondary analytics, primary market research, and/or competitive intelligence experience within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry. Experience within the CNS therapeutic area, launch experience, and managed markets experience preferred OR Master's degree preferred and 6+ years of similar experience noted above OR PhD and 4+ years of similar experience noted above Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to integrate secondary data, primary market research and competitive intelligence to create insights and actionable recommendations Excellent working knowledge of the various methodologies of collecting and analyzing secondary data, primary market research, and competitive intelligence Understanding of statistical modeling and optimization as well as statistical analyses of quantitative research resu
