Sr Electrical Engineer

Locations: San Antonio, TX | Dallas, TX | Austin, TX

Must-Haves

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • ~10+ years of electrical engineering experience
  • Strong background in healthcare, education, commercial, federal, or light industrial projects
  • Proven ability to lead electrical design efforts and mentor junior staff
  • Experience coordinating across multiple disciplines (MEP, architecture, etc.)

About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design and execution of complex projects. This role is responsible for overseeing design development, ensuring coordination across disciplines, and delivering high-quality construction documents on schedule. You will play a key role in mentoring team members, managing project workloads, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical design and produce construction documents in line with industry and company standards
  • Coordinate electrical systems with internal teams and external consultants
  • Oversee project timelines, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget
  • Conduct QA/QC reviews prior to project deadlines
  • Collaborate with Project Managers on staffing needs, budgets, and scheduling
  • Mentor and support the development of junior engineering staff
  • Participate in candidate interviews and provide hiring feedback
  • Maintain and grow client relationships to support repeat business

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 10+ years of experience in building systems design
  • Experience across sectors such as healthcare, education, commercial, federal, or light industrial
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams

Work Environment & Requirements

  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to meet deadlines
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders as needed
