## Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Control Engineer to lead engineering and maintenance of Control and SMART Facility systems on-site. This role ensures safety, reliability, and efficient performance of the control infrastructure supporting advanced semiconductor manufacturing. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with site, corporate, and departmental goals.
They will contribute expert technical knowledge to advance innovative solutions, ensuring visible impact at the project or program level. The role also requires awareness of leadership skill development, encouraging growth in both technical and leadership dimensions.
## Key Responsibilities:
- Champion environmental, health, and safety compliance across all control operations. Conduct risk assessments and promote a culture of safety and operational rigor.
- Lead commissioning, maintenance, and optimization of control systems.
- Provide expert-level support for complex operational issues and lead root cause investigations using 8D problem-solving methodologies.
- Coordinate capacity planning, system performance analysis and execution of expansion projects to enable site growth and production demands.
- Review and validate scope, schedule, and cost estimates for infrastructure upgrades. Provide engineering oversight and technical support while building and constructing phases.
- Conduct risk assessments and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to eliminate single points of failure and improve system resilience.
- Mentor and develop control engineers and technicians through structured training programs and hands-on site engagement.
- Lead post-incident reviews and drive implementation of corrective and preventive actions for system abnormalities.
- Drive central initiatives for system capacity expansion, reliability improvement, and energy efficiency.
- Spearhead the deployment of SMART power systems, predictive diagnostics, and digital tools to improve team efficiency and system intelligence.
## Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, with Master’s or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in Instrumentation and Control Systems Development, Maintenance, and Operations within semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Technical Skills: Certification on PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition). Knowledge of Python/R, Web development (Front end and Back end), Software ecosystem (Hadoop), database (SQL), statistical knowledge or relevant programming skills will be advantageous. Knowledge and application of problem-solving and data analysis methodologies. Knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures and installation work for PLC, Instrumentation, Toxic Gas Monitoring and SCADA.
- Familiarity with SMART systems and predictive maintenance tools is advantageous.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and project management skills, proficient in English, with the ability to influence collaborators and convey technical concepts clearly.
- Project Management: Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the capacity to coordinate several concurrent initiatives.
- Good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and facilities systems.
