The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key member of the FP&A team responsible for supporting the month end close process working with finance leadership and cross-functional departments in the business. This role will focus on managing our attorney productivity process, providing support for annual attorney (hours based) performance reviews, analyzing financial performance against budget/forecast and providing ad-hoc support for financial data requests across our Partnership and GO! Team Leadership. This position will assist in improving financial status by ensuring financial data integrity, monitoring and explaining drivers of financial variances and recommending process and reporting improvements to management.

What You Will Do

  • Develop effective, efficient and accurate reporting methodology for performing actual vs. plan, forecast, and prior year variance analysis at various levels. Highlight critical variances and partner with manager(s) to identify remedial actions for spend monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Analyze financial information, key operating metrics and produce analytical reporting packages in support of practice group management.
  • Lead monthly roll-forward for select management reports (or feeder reports), including data control and validation processes.
  • Train and assist junior analyst(s) and other firm personnel with plan/forecast processes and develop and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Support the Sr. Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis in working with Department Directors to establish and execute financial objectives.
  • Provide dotted line support to Finance Director for Continental Europe on various ad-hoc analysis and data requests.
  • Leverage existing systems to enhance the quality, efficiency and timeliness of business financial reporting. Looks for ways to optimize/enhance planning tools and processes.
  • Apply written and verbal communications skills to help facilitate annual budget and quarterly forecasts processes with Finance and other departmental managers and directors.
  • Collaborate with other Finance team members to help document processes to facilitate knowledge share and cross-training.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field is required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in financial analysis including, but not limited to financial modeling, reporting, budgeting and forecasting in a corporate or professional services environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required, modeling skills in Excel are a plus
  • Effective communication and social skills, ability to partner cross-functionally and with all levels of firm personnel
  • Proven analytical and organizational skills, with strong accountability
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter with experience managing projects to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to lead competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

The Target Salary Range For This Position Varies By Location And Is Commensurate With Relevant Experience: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00
