- This role requires an independent professional capable of driving infrastructure modernization, weighing in on enterprise architecture and budgets, and leading the technical implementation of security hardening standards.

- This role is for a Senior Systems Engineer with 5–6 years of experience (4 years minimum) operating within complex, enterprise-scale environments.
- You will help weigh in on infrastructure architecture and budget while providing real-world experience in Enterprise Security Hardening and Zero Trust frameworks.
- This is a hands-on role responsible for the stability and security of specialized EDA and HPC infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities:
- Architecture & Budget: Weigh in on Enterprise-level systems architecture and hardware/software procurement budgets to support long-term scaling.
- Enterprise Hardening: Lead the implementation of Zero Trust VPNs and advanced firewall policies to protect high-value intellectual property.
- Advanced Networking: Manage enterprise-grade Juniper SRX firewalls and complex network segmentation for high-performance engineering workloads.
- HPC & EDA Governance: Support specialized EDA compute environments (SGE, FlexLM) ensuring performance optimization and license server high-availability.
- Modern Endpoint Management: Lead Enterprise-wide endpoint management and policy deployment via Microsoft Intune.
- Risk Management: Drive vulnerability management and remediation strategies across both on-premises and Cloud (Azure/AWS) infrastructure.
- Leadership: Partner with senior technical leadership to prioritize enterprise-wide infrastructure projects and mentor mid-level staff.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5–6 years (4 years minimum) of Enterprise IT systems engineering experience.
- Technical Tools: Expert proficiency in Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Microsoft 365 Enterprise administration.
- Networking: Mastery of Enterprise networking; Juniper SRX administration and complex VPN/VLAN topologies.
- Security Expertise: Proven track record of hardening enterprise environments and implementing Zero Trust frameworks.
- Compliance Requirement: US Person status is required for ITAR compliance.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Compliance: Familiarity with NIST 800-171, CMMC, or ITAR compliance frameworks.
- Storage: Experience with NetApp ONTAP storage administration.
- HPC/EDA: Experience supporting EDA or HPC compute environments (SGE, LSF, or similar job scheduling systems).
- Zero Trust: Experience with Cloudflare Zero Trust or similar SASE/SSE platforms.
Job Details:
- Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid)
- Pay Rate Range: $95–$115/hr.
