They work to provide a personalized experience for our consumers backed by best-in-class, data-driven marketing capabilities. The Customer Experience team focuses across 4 departments including, Marketing, Creative, Communications, and our Loyalty & CRM team. Everyone brings their own point of view to create a unique experience for the pets and pet parents.
The Insights & Analytics Team consists of highly business-oriented strategy and analytics professionals that use data to guide business partners in decision making and strategy development to deliver top- and bottom-line growth for the company. As part of the customer experience group, our focus is on loyalty, marketing, digital and services, but our impact spans the entire business.

In a standard work week, associates may work up to one remote “flex day” (with leader approval). About the Job
This is a high-visibility, broad-ranged role with regular access to senior leadership and with an opportunity for disproportionate impact to the business. The team is passionate about understanding and influencing customer behavior through data, structured analytics, business intelligence, and hypothesis-driven problem solving. As the leader of the Insights and Analytics team, the position evangelizes the value of analytics and data among peers and stakeholders and invests significant time learning the business, building trust, and understanding the challenges of each function.
Reporting to the Director of Data and Analytics, the Sr Manager of Insights & Analytics will:
- Serve as the bridge between data and actionable insights, connecting the dots to drive efficiency and revenue growth. This role requires strong autonomy, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a deep understanding of the retail industry and our pet parents.
- Own pet parent behavior analyses and KPIs, both ongoing and as ad hoc: query data, run analyses, develop insights, and build actionable stories.
- Develop robust analytical, soft and technical skills on the insights and analytics team. Helping team members upskill while delivering best in class data solutions.
- Champion the development of a modern analytics and reporting ecosystem, including integrating AI to enable intuitive, scalable self-service insights for business stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Ability to procure and manipulate large-scale, complex data from a variety of systems (Snowflake, DataBricks, Medalia, on prem, web tool, etc.), experience reshaping data to ensure it is in right structure for analysis, filtering and removal of outliers. Demonstrated experience with cloud tech for data and analytics solutions (Google Cloud)
- Strategic thinker, deeply curious and passionate about leveraging data to answer complex business questions
- Ability to work collaboratively and constructively with leaders and team members across the business to execute and deliver against analytical projects
- Flexible mindset, and ability to contribute to multiple work streams, with fluid and evolving prioritization
- A self-starter with the ability to manage own workflow with support from the rest of the team
- Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive information
- Effective communication skills, with a particular focus on the ability to:
- Translate complex or highly technical concepts in ways that make them easily understood by leaders and team members
- Efficiently get to “client-ready” output for direct manager and other leaders
- Must be excited to research and learn new techniques to augment current tools and methodologies
- Coding Languages: advanced in SQL required, advanced in R and/or Python preferred
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- This position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Management Systems, or a related field
- Must have 5 years of related, professional experience in an analytical role
- Experience performing decision science and/or analytics in a retail setting is ideal
- Preferred experience leading an analytical team
