Sr Manager of Data Engineering

Constellation Search Group is looking for a hands on Sr Manager of Data Engineering for a full-time direct hire position. This high-impact role involves leading the data strategy and analytics infrastructure, focusing on enhancing restaurant operations and enterprise decision-making. The Manager will manage the BI and data ecosystem end-to-end, while mentoring a web developer for reporting interfaces and dashboard delivery. Responsibilities include shaping the data strategy, evolving the analytics ecosystem, and leveraging data for operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Own and advance the enterprise data strategy to transform data into actionable insights that enhance business performance.
• Develop and maintain a scalable AWS-based analytics ecosystem.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to identify KPIs, analytics needs, and data-driven opportunities.
• Serve as the primary architect for the data warehouse environment in AWS.
• Enhance data pipelines, transformation logic, and modeling layers using tools like Amazon Redshift, DBT, AWS Lambda, and Python.
• Support and guide a web developer in building and maintaining BI tools and dashboards.
• Build and maintain enterprise dashboards using Power BI, applying advanced analytics for various operational benefits.
• Oversee and integrate the Oracle Hyperion accounting data subset within the data warehouse.

Qualifications:

• Expertise in AWS and data engineering, with hands-on experience in Amazon Redshift, DBT, AWS Lambda, Python, and other relevant services.
• Proficiency in Power BI, including dataset modeling, DAX, and dashboard development.
• Experience in integrating Oracle Hyperion data into BI environments and managing enterprise-scale implementations of restaurant systems.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, guest analytics, and multi-unit business structures.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently and mentor a small technical team.
