Digital Commerce & Innovation (DCI) is a portfolio of technology platforms and solutions which support both enterprise and premium lines of business. We delight our customers while revolutionizing the way they use and love our products. DCI domains include:

• AirKey - Engineers an unique, in-house identity solution which combines our credit cards with patented cryptographic software solutions to create a high level of trust around identity to reduce fraud

• Emerging Payments - Engineers secure, low friction, fraud reduced experiences and integrations to prevent disintermediation, increase card on file, and drive incremental spend in the most business advantaged situations

• Loyalty - Engineers personalized, and interconnected rewards and benefits for all Capital One customers

• Premium Products & Experiences Tech - Engineers cardholder experiences for our premium customers, including mobile, travel, dining, entertainment, spend and multi-user features

• Velocity Black - Engineers a unified concierge and service experience for premium customers and card holders

In addition to leading a top priority technical program for DCI, you will also work to pave the way for an expanding TPM discipline within the team, by leveraging your industry knowledge and experience to teach the organization what a great TPM can achieve.

Our TPM Sr. Managers have:

• Strong technical backgrounds (ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services) with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout delivery life-cycle

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills

• Excellent problem solving and influencing skills

• A quantitative approach to problem solving and a collaborative implementer to holistic solutions; a systems thinker

• Ability to simplify the technically complex and drive well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives

• Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results

• Exceptional cross-team collaboration; able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done.

• Highly tuned emotional intelligence, good listener, and deep seated empathy for teams and partners

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree

• At least 5 years of experience managing technical programs

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing

• 3+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture - preferably using AWS

• 3+ years experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms

• 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery

• 3+ years experience delivering large and complex programs - where you own the business or technical vision, collaborate with large cross-functional teams, secure commitments on deliverables, and unblock teams to land business impact

• Experience in building systems & solutions within a highly regulated environment

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering)

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Manager, Technical Program Management

McLean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100 for Sr. Manager, Technical Program Management

New York, NY: $219,000 - $249,900 for S
