Job Title: Sr. Power Circuit Design Engineer - GaN/SiC

Location: Somerville, MA

Compensation: $150K - $250K DOE

Requirement: MS or PhD w/ 5+ years of power circuit design, wide bandgap power devices (GaN HEMTs or SiC MOSFETs)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Power Circuit Design Engineer specializing in GaN and SiC technologies. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of advanced power circuit solutions utilizing wide bandgap semiconductor devices to enhance efficiency and performance in medium voltage applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop power circuits using GaN and SiC power devices for medium voltage (600V-1200V) applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver innovative circuit designs.
  • Conduct simulations and analysis to optimize circuit performance and reliability.
  • Prototype and test power converters, specifically DC-DC power converters, to validate design specifications.
  • Document design processes, test results, and project milestones to ensure compliance and facilitate knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in power circuit design, focusing on GaN or SiC technologies.
  • Strong understanding of wide bandgap power devices, specifically GaN HEMTs or SiC MOSFETs.
  • Experience designing medium voltage power converters, including DC-DC converters.
  • Proficient in circuit simulation tools and design software.
