Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join our team in Denver, CO
What Youll Get to Do:
Have multiple years of experience develop and mentor new engineers.
Lead on-site supplier engagements, including multiple people team activities such as supplier quarterly performance reviews and audits.
Understands continuous process improvement (CI) and can effectively develop and execute CI initiatives and activities.
Analyze and interpret data to identify suppliers’ process issues and developing solutions, and present to all levels of leaderships.
Effectively perform supplier surveillance activities designed to manage and improve supplier performance, productivity, and process validation.
Apply technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts to analyze and audit our suppliers’ processes and capabilities.
Capable of leading cross-functional teams in pursuit of performance improvements aligned to department and organizational goals.
Mitigate supplier quality risk to prevent/minimize business impact from supplied material defects
Proactive reduction and prevention of supplied material defect occurrences and verification of supplied material defect claims
Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
Understands general contracting principles in a Department of Defense and commercial environment
Establish positive working relationships with suppliers and internal teams. Represent the company with credibility, confidence and professionalism.
Ideal candidate must be able to travel up to 75 of the Time
This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Supplier Engineer (level 3) or Sr. Principal Software Engineer (level 4)
Basic Qualifications for a Supplier Quality Engineer 3:
Basic Qualifications for a Supplier Quality Engineer 4:
Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or other Engineering discipline.
10+ years working in the defense industry.
Experience in the manufacture of Printed Wiring Boards and CCAs.
Six Sigma or Lean certifications.
Experience in auditing to ISO 9001 and AS9100, AS9102 requirements.
