This position has the option to work a 9/80 schedule, which is a compressed work schedule, with alternate Fridays off.

Accelint is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer to support the entire software testing lifecycle. The ideal candidate will develop, refine, and maintain test documentation; create comprehensive test plans and cases; and manually execute these tests. This role requires a deep understanding of our software systems, the ability to think through edge cases, and a proactive approach to identifying potential issues. This role will also be responsible for assisting with test automation efforts by building scalable frameworks and integrating automated tests into the development pipeline to enhance quality and efficiency. The Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer will work closely with the development team to ensure that quality standards are met and will play an integral part in delivering reliable software solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, refine, and maintain comprehensive test plans and cases for software functionalities.
  • Perform thorough manual testing to ensure software meets requirements and is free of defects.
  • Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Think critically to identify potential edge cases and proactively devise tests to address them.
  • Continuously improve testing strategies, processes, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with the development team to resolve issues promptly and verify fixes.
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress, results, and quality metrics to the team.
  • Assist with the design, development, and implementation of automated testing frameworks to improve test coverage, reduce manual effort, and accelerate software delivery.
  • Possess the ability to research and implement strategies for developing a large suite of QA / regression tests through AI.
  • Possess the ability to continually research, create processes, and execute DoD accepted AI tools for any test related efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently holds an active U.S. national security clearance or be able to receive and maintain one. To learn more about the security clearance process please access this link.
  • Associate degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification or the ability to obtain it within 45 days of hire
  • Minimum of six (6) years in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Experience developing test plans and test cases tied to requirements.
  • Experience performing manual test procedures and documenting results.
  • Three (3) years of experience using Selenium, Robot, TAF, or equivalent testing frameworks.
  • Five (5) years of experience developing integration tests for Java-based web applications.
  • Five (5) years of experience developing test plans linking test steps to requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to understand complex software systems.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently while collaborating effectively with the team.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or related field
