Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize biochemical and sequencing assays
  • Execute experiments to evaluate enzyme activity and sequencing performance
  • Perform nucleic acid handling, library prep, and assay workflows
  • Analyze experimental data and report results clearly
  • Support high-throughput assay workflows
  • Maintain lab organization and documentation
  • Collaborate closely with protein engineering and computational teams

Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on molecular biology and biochemistry skills
  • Experience with DNA/RNA handling and enzymatic assays
  • Familiarity with sequencing workflows (NGS or long-read preferred)
  • Experience with assay optimization and troubleshooting
  • Strong attention to detail and data quality
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams

Education & Industry Experience

  • B.S. or M.S. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field
  • 4 years of industry experience
  • Experience in genomics or biotech strongly preferred

California Pay Transparency Statement.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $72,000 – $85,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skill set, and internal equity considerations.
