Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Robotics Engineer to lead the design, programming, and integration of industrial robotic systems. This role is responsible for delivering robust automation solutions, optimizing system performance, and supporting installation, startup, and troubleshooting efforts in dynamic manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, program, and integrate industrial robotic systems for automated production environments
  • Develop and implement electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and system architectures
  • Configure and optimize drives, motion control systems, sensors, and I/O networks
  • Lead robot system commissioning, including startup, tuning, and validation activities
  • Ensure compliance with robot safety standards and implement safety systems and risk mitigation strategies
  • Analyze system performance and implement continuous improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and throughput
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues through hands-on field troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and customers to deliver high-quality automation solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience with industrial robot programming and system integration (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, panel design, and controls architecture
  • Experience with motion control systems, servo drives, sensors, and industrial I/O systems
  • Demonstrated expertise in robot safety integration and compliance with applicable standards
  • Hands-on experience with system startup, tuning, and field troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PLC programming and HMI development
  • Knowledge of industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, etc.)
  • Familiarity with vision systems and advanced robotics applications
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing or field engineering role
