Job Description

  • *Job Description Summary**

Senior functional leader for methods, data, and tools that enable forecasting and demand management across Commercial Engines & Services. This role is the primary business point of contact for a suite of reporting and analytics tools that span multiple digital platforms and user groups. The position drives user satisfaction and adoption for existing tools, translates continuous improvement needs between end users and DT partners, and shapes design and integration decisions for new and early stage tools. The role ensures that analytics and tools directly support value stream flow, waste reduction, and SQDC-focused decision-making in demand processes.

  • *Job Description**
  • *Roles and Responsibilities**

+ Serves as functional owner and primary point of contact for key forecasting and demand-related reporting tools (e.g., ERP-based reporting, Spotfire, Tableau) used across Services, SIOP/S&OE, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Finance.

+ Maintains and improves user satisfaction, adoption, and usability by engaging directly with user groups to understand requirements, pain points, and use cases, and by managing enhancement backlogs and change requests.

+ Translates business and process needs into clear technical requirements for DT and data engineering partners (data models, calculations, interfaces, workflows) and coordinates development, testing, and release to meet milestones and user acceptance criteria.

+ Applies FLIGHT DECK Fundamentals (Value Stream Management, Daily & Visual Management, Action Planning, Problem Solving) so analytics and tools enable SQDC improvement in forecasting and demand management value streams, including visibility into key exceptions and decision points.

+ Uses value stream thinking and SIPOC-style framing to map information flows and identify where tools and data can remove DOWNTIME waste, shorten decision lead time, and improve transparency in SIOP cycles.

+ Leads change management and adoption for new or enhanced tools, including communications, training, and feedback loops; acts as a bridge between Genba (where work is done) and DT/data teams.

Demonstrates GE Aerospace Behaviors in all interactions:

+ Respect for People: Partners with diverse global stakeholders; listens actively; coaches users on effective tool and data usage; incorporates feedback with humility.

+ Continuous Improvement: Treats the analytics and tools ecosystem as a learning system, continuously improving data structures, reports, and ways of working.

+ Customer Driven: Frames requirements and prioritization through the lens of internal and external customers and the end-to-end value stream, not tool-centric preferences.

  • *Required Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Research, Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent practical experience (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of relevant work experience).

+ Minimum of 5 years combined experience in hands-on development, technical product management, scrum master/dev ops, or similar roles bridging business and technology.

+ Awareness-level understanding of concepts such as application architecture, database management, agile development, and data engineering; comfortable engaging with DT and data teams.

+ Demonstrated experience delivering reporting, analytics, or digital tool solutions from requirements through deployment and adoption.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences.

+ Proven attention to detail and rigor in managing data, metrics, and tool changes in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.

  • *Desired Characteristics**

+ Experience within the GE Aerospace DT ecosystem.

+ Experience developing or managing reporting/visualization tools (e.g., Spotfire, Tableau).

+ Experience managing user requirements, feedback, and acceptance testing.

+ Experienced FLIGHT DECK practitioner, especially in Value Stream Management, Daily & Visual Management, Action Planning, and Problem Solving.

+ Experience with ERP platforms such as Oracle and SAP, and with data pipelines/ETL processes.

+ Experience in a complex industrial or aerospace environment, with exposure to demand, supply chain, or services processes.

+ Highly collaborative, with strong interpersonal and leadership skills; demonstrated ability to influence without authority and lead horizontally across functions.

+ PMP or equivalent project/program management certification preferred.
