Senior Supplier Development Engineer- Finished Product

As Senior Supplier Development Engineer you will be a key contributor to our international, supplier qualification and development activities. You will collaborate closely with various functions within SMP's Vehicle Control Division, including Product Test Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Marketing, and our international support teams.
You will help manage the full product lifecycle-from supplier identification through end-of-life production, driving cross-functional alignment, removing obstacles, and ensuring continuous improvement across supplier products.
Responsibilities include:
To qualify, you must have a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with minimum of 10 years of experience in product design, manufacturing engineering, and/or supplier development. Candidate must also have demonstrated proficiency interfacing with supply base partners for successful project implementation.
This position requires travel to Asia: China, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and other countries.
Candidate must have good engineering knowledge of electro-mechanical sensors and actuators.
Candidate must have good knowledge of various manufacturing and test processes.
Candidate must be able to support a large number of projects, part numbers, suppliers, and associated data.
Candidate must have effective communication skills and cross-functional leadership abilities.

The estimated salary range for this position is $110,000- $130,000.
