ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for an experienced Staff Engineer to join our team at a pivotal stage of our growth. As a technical leader, you'll own complex problems end-to-end and multiply your impact across our engineering organization. You'll architect scalable systems that power our AI-powered patient engagement platform, make high-stakes technical decisions with incomplete information, and set the standard for engineering excellence.

As one of our engineering leaders, you'll be instrumental in shaping both our technical direction and our engineering culture. You'll work on cutting-edge AI agents, voice systems, and complex data integrations while mentoring engineers and driving cross-team initiatives. This role requires comfort with ambiguity, strong judgment on technical decision-making, and the ability to balance rapid iteration with long-term system maintainability.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own complex, multi-person projects from concept to production, defining scope and timelines while being fully accountable for outcomes

• Mentor engineers across teams, coach them through complex problems, and raise overall team capability

• Enjoy a high degree of autonomy, tasked with solving complex problems in innovative ways.

• Lead discussions, contributing fresh ideas and perspectives.

• Act as a subject matter expert while enabling others to contribute effectively

• Develop production-grade software that complies with HIPAA and healthcare security standards at scale

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 7+ years of industry experience with a proven track record of leading complex technical initiatives at a major tech company or high-growth startup

• Established track record of building efficient, maintainable systems, with work that handles interactions across multiple teams

• Experience independently leading large cross-team projects, defining scope and timelines, and being accountable for delivery outcomes

• Willingness to wear multiple hats—from design and development to testing and occasional support. Comfortable with rapid iteration, experimentation, and learning from failure in a fast-paced environment.
