About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Business Systems Engineer with deep expertise in NetSuite ERP to lead the strategy, architecture, and optimization of Core Financials and Tax systems. This role will drive scalable and compliant financial operations by partnering closely with Accounting, Finance, Tax and Engineering teams.

The ideal candidate combines strong accounting and tax domain knowledge with hands-on NetSuite technical expertise to deliver integrated, automated, and scalable enterprise solutions that support global growth and operational excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities

Lead architecture, configuration, enhancement, and support of NetSuite Core Financials and Tax systems.

Drive automation and optimization across Core Financials processes including General Ledger (GL), intercompany accounting, consolidations, financial close, and financial/statutory reporting.

Design and support tax solutions including Sales & Use Tax, VAT/GST, and global tax compliance processes.

Implement and maintain integrations between NetSuite and tax-related enterprise applications including tax engines, e-invoicing platforms, procurement systems, billing platforms, and financial reporting solutions to support global tax compliance and reporting.

Partner with Finance, Accounting and Tax teams to improve operational efficiency and scalability.

Develop and support NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, Saved Searches, Dashboards, and SuiteTalk APIs.

Lead end-to-end ERP projects including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and post-production support.

Ensure SOX compliance, audit readiness, data governance, and financial controls across systems and processes.

Drive system standardization, scalability, and best practices for enterprise financial operations.

Serve as the technical subject matter expert for NetSuite Financials and Tax systems.

 

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

10+ years of experience supporting enterprise financial systems and ERP platforms.

5+ years of hands-on NetSuite ERP experience focused on Core Financials and Tax.

Strong understanding of accounting operations and financial controls.

Familiarity with ASC 606 and global multi-entity accounting operations.

Experience supporting tax compliance processes including Sales & Use Tax and VAT/GST.

Experience implementing and integrating tax engines such as Avalara or Vertex with NetSuite.

The base salary range for this role is $188,000 to $275,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
