Job Description

Waters Advanced Diagnostics Technical Service Organization helps research and clinical customers efficiently and reliably reach their goals through installation services, repair, maintenance, and ongoing support. Waters Technical Service partners with customers to maximize uptime, solve issues, and expeditiously ensure our customer's instruments are working in top condition, whether over the phone, online, or on-site. Waters Service teams handle support and service issues across the product life cycle. Customer experience is our first priority.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Repair Program Project Execution

  • Lead repair program projects to deliver targeted part-line cost savings
  • Define project scope, milestones, risks, and timelines
  • Track execution to schedule and escalate risks as needed
  • Drive cross-functional stakeholder accountability

Technical Expertise & Device Knowledge

  • Serve as technical SME across ADx devices and repaired spare parts
  • Resolve complex manufacturing and repair issues
  • Support adoption of standardized repair best practices
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Service

Repair Infrastructure & Process Support

  • Own Change Controls and execute process
  • Author, review, and support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Create, maintain, and improve repair process documentation
  • Support tooling, fixtures, and equipment readiness and maintenance
  • Apply Lean and Kaizen methods to improve flow, layout, capacity, and efficiency

Quality & Compliance

  • Author deviations and associated documentation
  • Create protocols and execute validation activities
  • Review and disposition Quality Notifications (QNs)
  • Lead Dead-On-Arrival (DOA) investigations and root cause analysis
  • Support CAPA activities
  • Oversee first article inspection of vendor-supplied repairs

Global Service Enablement Support

  • Provide technical support to Global System Support Specialists
  • Support knowledge transfer across the Service organization, including other repair locations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting repair programs or service manufacturing operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in GMP and FDA-regulated environments
  • Lean / Kaizen or continuous improvement experience
  • Manufacturing change control and validation experience
  • Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration and communication skills

Salary Range Information

$117,800.00 - $188,600.00 USD Annual
