JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Staff Engineer at Enpal, your mission is to deliver quality and sustainability to one of our most important products. Our application is the window for our customers to their entire Enpal system. You'll drive the technical vision and evolution of this critical application, ensuring it scales with our customers' needs and our company's ambitions. You'll lead high-impact initiatives across the stack: building high-performance mobile features for real-time energy data, integrating new product lines into our home energy management platform, scaling our mobile CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery, and ultimately shipping exceptional experiences to thousands of customers. As we scale, we're transforming from a centralized team approach to a platform-based model, enabling feature teams to contribute independently and ship faster. You'll be the technical architect driving this transformation, building the foundation that empowers autonomous teams while maintaining quality and consistency. You'll set the technical standard, combining hands-on delivery with architectural vision to drive impact across teams and domains. - Scale developer experience by creating the infrastructure, tooling, and documentation that enables multiple teams to contribute seamlessly
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of experience building and scaling mobile applications (Flutter or native Android; iOS experience a plus)
- Strong proficiency in Flutter/Dart or deep Android expertise (Java/Kotlin), with the ability to drive architectural decisions across a multi-team codebase
- Proven experience designing modular and scalable mobile architectures (feature modules, microfrontends, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of mobile performance, and monitoring/observability at scale (e.g., Crashlytics, Datadog)
- Hands-on experience with the full mobile development lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and app store releases
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to align stakeholders across engineering, product, and design
- Experience working in distributed orgs where multiple teams contribute to a shared codebase
- Strong quality ownership, designing and enforcing testing strategies, coding and review standards
