A leading global financial institution is seeking a Data Operations Control Analyst to join their Asia Client Management Unit in Singapore. As a Static and Reference Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of legal entity and instrument static reference data, supporting all lines of business including Global Markets and Commodities for both cash and derivatives products.

What you'll do:

As a Static and Reference Data Analyst based in Singapore within the Asia Client Management Unit, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of securities reference data across various asset classes. Your day-to-day activities will involve managing instrument data setup for indexes and curves specific to the Asia timezone, handling settlement instructions when tickets are transferred locally, maintaining centralised reference data platforms for accuracy across systems, updating fixings according to operational schedules, completing audit checks with thorough documentation, responding promptly to stakeholder requests via ticketing systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes, adhering to risk controls with diligence, and actively participating in knowledge sharing within your team.

  • Ensure timely and accurate set up of securities reference data across all asset classes and systems for the Asia timezone, supporting both cash and derivatives products.
  • Manage the set up of other instrument data such as indexes and curves for the Asia timezone, guaranteeing precision and consistency.
  • Handle settlement instructions, post-trade contacts, and ledger counterparty data when tickets are transferred to the Asia team, maintaining meticulous records.
  • Maintain all reference data and supported market data on the central instrument management platform (FMDM), ensuring uniformity of published information across distinct systems.
  • Update required daily, weekly, and monthly fixings promptly to meet operational deadlines and stakeholder expectations.
  • Complete FMDM audit reports and checks on a daily basis, establishing a comprehensive audit trail for all reference data additions, deletions, and amendments across each system.
  • Manage the ISD and CRD ticketing inbox daily to ensure all stakeholder requests are responded to efficiently and processed without delay.
  • Collaborate with front office teams as well as operations and IT functions to foster strong partnerships that enhance data quality control processes.
  • Adhere strictly to established procedures while understanding risks and control processes inherent in referential data management.
  • Contribute positively to team goals by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and participating in communal problem-solving initiatives.
