About the Role

The Strategic Advisory and Financial Analyst is an integral part of Latham’s Global Finance team. This role will be responsible for providing financial and analytical support for the firm, as well as preparing recurring and ad-hoc financial analysis and reports related to client statistics and firm financial metrics. This role will be located in our Global Services office in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Creating analyses and responding to various requests by applying financial and analytical skills
  • Utilizing data mining and database mechanisms to obtain data and organizing the information to facilitate effective analysis and creating analytical reports
  • Utilizing database mechanisms and Microsoft Access to develop and improve reporting processes
  • Maintaining detailed records documenting procedures and assumptions, methodologies, and sources of information employed during the performance of all analytical tasks
  • Making recommendations and working with management to develop procedures, processes, and workflow to ensure maximum efficiency in the FIC department
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

  • Possess well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to interact with people at all organizational levels
  • Exhibit the ability to take initiative and work both independently and in a team environment with a customer-service focus
  • Demonstrate organizational skills to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines

And have:

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or a related field
  • A minimum of three (3) years of analytical experience in finance, accounting, or a related professional services environment

USD $80,000.00 - USD $95,000.00 /Yr.
