Strategic Finance/Business Intelligence Professional - HF in NYC

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and technically adept Strategic Finance Lead to drive insights and decision‑making across the organization. This role sits at the intersection of finance, data science, and business operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partner with senior leadership to provide financial and operational insights that support high‑impact strategic decisions. Develop and maintain advanced business intelligence dashboards and reporting tools using Tableau, Power BI, and other visualization platforms. Build and deploy Python‑based analytics models to support scenario planning, forecasting, and investment evaluation. Translate complex datasets into actionable insights through deep‑dive analyses and storytelling. Lead the design and automation of financial models, metrics, and KPIs across multiple business units. Collaborate cross‑functionally with data engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure alignment on data sources, definitions, and governance. Support M&A evaluation, competitive benchmarking, and market expansion analysis through robust financial modeling and data analytics. Continuously improve data infrastructure and BI processes to increase transparency and efficiency across finance and business teams.

Qualifications:

4‑8 years of experience in strategic finance, analytics, investment banking, consulting, or a related quantitative field. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline; advanced degree is a plus. Proven experience building and scaling BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Advanced proficiency in Python for data manipulation, modeling, and automation (e.g., pandas, numpy, scikit‑learn, etc.). Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill and present complex financial data to non‑technical stakeholders. Experience working in fast‑paced, data‑rich environments; financial services, tech, or hedge fund experience is a plus.
