Job Title: Strategic Operations Associate

About Us

Prompt is revolutionizing healthcare by delivering highly automated, modern software to rehab therapy businesses, the teams within them, and the patients they serve. We aim to redefine what healthcare software should look and feel like by eliminating inefficiency and enabling providers to deliver better care.

We are seeking a highly analytical, resourceful, and proactive Strategic Operations Associate to join our Operations team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, this role will support a variety of high-priority strategic and cross-functional initiatives across the business.

This position sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, data analysis, and execution. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, enjoys structuring complex problems, and is excited to work closely with senior leadership on projects that shape Prompt’s growth, go-to-market strategy, and operational priorities.

Responsibilities

Strategic Project Management & Execution

  • Support High-Priority Strategic Initiatives: Partner closely with the Vice President of Operations to scope, coordinate, and execute strategic projects across the business. Help ensure priorities are well-defined, workstreams stay on track, and stakeholders remain aligned.
  • Cross-Functional Project Management: Support the VP of Operations in managing cross-functional initiatives involving teams such as Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Finance, and Operations. Facilitate communication, track progress, identify blockers, and drive follow-through.
  • Ad Hoc Strategic Projects: Jump into ambiguous or time-sensitive projects as needed, quickly developing context, organizing workstreams, and helping move initiatives from idea to execution.

Go-to-Market Strategy & Business Analysis

  • Pricing & Packaging Support: Assist with strategic work related to Prompt’s go-to-market motion, including pricing, packaging, segmentation, competitive positioning, and related business analysis.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, customer segments, competitors, market dynamics, and new opportunities. Translate findings into clear, actionable summaries for leadership.
  • TAM & Market Opportunity Analysis: Support total addressable market analysis and related strategic assessments to help evaluate growth opportunities, new market verticals, and potential expansion areas.
  • New Market Vertical Exploration: Help assess potential new markets or customer segments by researching market size, customer needs, competitive landscape, operational complexity, and strategic fit.

Data Analysis & Strategic Insight

  • Data-Driven Decision Support: Use data to support strategic recommendations, business cases, and operational decisions. Build analyses that help leadership evaluate opportunities, tradeoffs, and risks.
  • Reporting & Synthesis: Gather inputs from internal systems, stakeholders, and external sources, then synthesize information into concise updates, memos, presentations, and recommendations.
  • AI-Enabled Research & Analysis: Use AI tools effectively to accelerate research, structure analysis, summarize information, and improve the quality and speed of strategic work.

Operational Structure & Problem Solving

  • Ambiguity Management: Bring structure to undefined problems by clarifying objectives, identifying key questions, organizing next steps, and driving work forward with limited direction.
  • Operational Cadence & Accountability: Help create lightweight systems for tracking projects, decisions, owners, timelines, and follow-ups across strategic initiatives.
  • Resourceful Execution: Approach new problems with curiosity, judgment, and initiative. Be willing to move fluidly between high-level strategic thinking and detailed execution.

Minimum Requirements

  • Professional Experience: 3–5 years of experience in operations, strategy, consulting, business operations, or a similarly analytical/project-based role.
  • Analytical Strength: Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to structure problems, work with data, identify insights, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Data Tool Proficiency: Comfort working in Google Sheets or Excel for analysis, modeling, tracking, and reporting.
  • Research Ability: Strong ability to conduct market research, competitive research, and business analysis using a combination of internal data, external sources, and AI tools.
  • AI Tool Fluency: Comfortable using AI tools to support research, synthesis, analysis, and execution. Excited to experiment with new tools to improve speed and output quality.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple workstreams, coordinate across stakeholders, track progress, and ensure follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear updates, memos, presentations, and recommendations.
  • Comfort with Ambiguity: Ability to operate effectively when problems are not fully defined. Comfortable asking the right questions, developing structure, and moving work forward without step-by-step instructions.
