Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!

As Figma continues to grow, so does the talented community of folks who help us build, support, and scale our products. Our contingent workforce plays an important part in that mission—and we’re ready to uplevel how we partner with and support this part of our team. The Strategic Program Manager for Contingent Workforce will design and run the systems, processes, and strategies that empower Figmates and contingent partners alike to do their best work. You’ll work across People, Legal, Finance, Security, and teams all across Figma to craft a thoughtful, flexible, and compliant workforce ecosystem. This role is perfect for someone who loves solving complex puzzles, building clarity in ambiguity, and designing programs that scale with heart.

This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you’ll do at Figma:

Build and own Figma’s global contingent workforce strategy—creating frameworks, rituals, and ways of working that help us scale thoughtfully and compliantly

Partner across the company to make onboarding, offboarding, and everything-in-between smoother, clearer, and more delightful for contingent workers and managers

Craft and maintain guidelines, policies, and resources that bring clarity (and a little fun) to a traditionally complex space

Collaborate closely with Legal, People Ops, Finance, and Security to reduce friction, manage risk, and ensure our approach is future-ready

Develop metrics and dashboards that help teams understand program health, spend, and opportunities to level up

Roll out change-management programs that help leaders navigate when and how to effectively engage contingent talent

Evaluate and partner with external vendors, MSPs, and technologies to make our contingent workforce experience scalable and lovable

Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on workforce planning, vendor strategy, and organizational design—helping us build teams that support Figma’s next chapter of growth

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

10+ years of experience building or running contingent workforce programs in fast-growing or complex organizations

Deep knowledge of worker classification, global compliance, and contingent workforce best practices

A track record of leading large, cross-functional programs with senior partners across People, Legal, Finance, and more

Experience building scalable processes, governance models, and operational systems from the ground up

Strong analytical and storytelling skills—you use data to inform decisions, spark conversation, and drive alignment

While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

Experience building or partnering with MSP models and/or modern VMS tools

Background in organizational design, workforce planning, or consulting

Experience scaling programs across multiple regions and navigating global regulations

A systems mindset and a passion for designing programs that blend structure, empathy, and great user experience

At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways.
