Job Title: Strategic Wealth Planning Summer Associate

Location: Greenbrae, CA (San Francisco) | Hybrid (Fully remote considered)

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starting Summer Associate to work closely with the President of a single family office. This role offers a rare opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a single family office supporting two generations across three households within a five-generation legacy family.

The office provides a comprehensive suite of services to support complex, multi-generational wealth, including investment management, tax and estate planning, accounting, bill pay, and legal and financial administration. What You'll Do

Core Deliverable:

  • Develop comprehensive, client-facing compendiums for three family households, including wealth maps, trust and entity structures, financial statements, investment reports, and key reference materials

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and synthesize complex estate plans (wills, trusts, and generational transfer strategies) and entity structures, including grantor and non-grantor trusts, dynasty trusts, partnerships, LLCs, and corporations
  • Map governance, ownership, asset flows, and beneficial interests into clear, intuitive formats
  • Review and enhance investment reporting and performance materials
  • Support the buildout of a centralized family portal, including reporting, legal and tax documents, and planning materials
  • Conduct investment and financial analysis; build models and support special projects related to strategic wealth planning, tax strategy, and portfolio management

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of relevant experience in private wealth management, family office, or a similar client-facing role for UHNW clients
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality financial and estate planning materials and synthesize complex information into intuitive, client-friendly deliverables
  • Strong understanding of investment, tax, and estate planning fundamentals
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Ability to work independently in a collaborative, high-expectation environment
  • Intellectual curiosity, initiative, and a proactive mindset
