Supplier Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiating favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers to secure cost-effective procurement solutions.
- Preparing and processing requisitions and purchase orders for technical equipment, custom-engineered products, systems, software, or components.
- Acquiring and maintaining an understanding of technology trends, market forces, cost trends, and supplier technology road maps to inform procurement strategies.
- Reviewing purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Discussing defects and delivery problems with suppliers and negotiating refunds to resolve issues efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Advanced college degree or equivalent in engineering, quality management, or a related discipline.
- Over 10 years of professional experience in supplier quality, procurement, or technical fields.
- Experience working in the medical devices, aerospace, or high-tech manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of technology trends, market forces, and supplier technology roadmaps.
- Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Supply Chain certifications.
- Deep understanding of supplier quality assurance, contract negotiations, and procurement processes.
- Proven ability to analyze complex issues, develop innovative solutions, and negotiate effectively with suppliers.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
