Brief Summary:
Join a dynamic team as a Supplier Quality Engineer, driving quality assurance and supplier performance to ensure excellence in production processes. This role offers an opportunity to enhance your technical skills while making a significant impact on product quality.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely verification and suitability of all parts for use.
- Address and resolve supplier-related quality issues to maintain a continuous supply of high-quality components.
- Monitor and analyze part data and supplier performance to identify risks; create plans for improvements in parts and supplier quality.
- Train technicians to effectively detect and prevent quality issues with incoming materials.
- Conduct audits and qualification of suppliers and their parts.
- Develop supplier improvement plans, including mapping out strategies with existing and potential suppliers.
- Assess and verify suppliers’ quality systems and processes for compliance with standards.
- Continuously refine SQE workflows, processes, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee safe and efficient inspection processes and maintain the operational environment.
- Manage SQE equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance.
- Lead a small team of technicians to optimize operational effectiveness.
- Periodically review and update SQE-related ISO documentation.
- Support ad hoc investigations and reporting as required.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering disciplines (mechanical, materials, chemical, quality, or manufacturing).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in quality engineering or related fields.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with plastic injection and/or metal stamping is advantageous.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks, JMP, and Minitab is preferred.
- Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
