Job Description

We are partnering with an innovative aerospace organization developing advanced electronics and communication systems for space and airborne platforms. This is a hands-on supplier quality role within a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment, where you will play a key part in ensuring product quality across a complex and critical supply chain.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with suppliers, solving problems at the source, and driving continuous improvement across both electronics and mechanical components.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain supplier quality processes in alignment with AS9100 and internal quality systems
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and supply chain to ensure supplier compliance with all requirements
  • Manage the full supplier lifecycle including qualification, performance monitoring, risk assessment, and supplier development
  • Act as a key point of contact for suppliers, providing guidance and ensuring alignment to quality expectations
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support design for manufacturability (DFM) initiatives
  • Lead investigations into supplier nonconformances and drive root cause corrective actions
  • Support disposition activities including rework, scrap, and return material authorizations (RMA)
  • Monitor and manage supplier corrective action requests (SCARs)
  • Develop and analyze supplier performance metrics such as defect rates, on-time delivery, and cost of quality
  • Use data to drive supplier improvement and strengthen strategic partnerships
  • Conduct supplier audits and perform source inspections as needed
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the supply base

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 3 years of supplier quality experience within aerospace or defense
  • Experience managing suppliers for:
  • Precision machining
  • PCBs / PCBAs
  • Integrated assemblies and testing
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and supplier requirements
  • Proven experience in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working within aerospace and/or electronics manufacturing environments
  • Willingness to travel 20–40% for supplier visits and audits

Compensation And Benefits

  • Salary range: $86,000 – $112,000
  • Equity included as part of the compensation package
