Make Your Mark:
The Support Engineer 2 is a desktop support position responsible for assisting Employees and contractors of Blackline.
You'll Get To:
- Serve as the face of Corporate IT for the EMEA region while also providing support to teams in APAC and the US as required, ensuring consistent global IT service delivery.
- Monitor ITHELP Jira ticket queue for support tickets and triage as necessary
- Ability to clearly and professionally articulate complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences and all levels of management, whether in person, via email, or over the phone
- Responds quickly, professionally and positively to requests for technical assistance
- Support end‑user workstation setups using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot, ensuring devices are provisioned and configured according to company standards.
- Organize and maintain end‑user hardware and software inventory using the organisation's chosen inventory management system and administer other workstation management tools as required.
- Assist with the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio‑visual (AV) equipment within office locations, including travel within the EMEA region to support additional sites as needed.
- Participates in the PagerDuty‑managed on‑call rotation.
What You'll Bring:
Knowledge:
. Familiarity of a scripting language for automation of routine tasks (PowerShell, Python, Java, Bash, etc.)
- Skilled in troubleshooting Microsoft Office and core productivity tools, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and key enterprise Microsoft services, including Entra ID, Microsoft Purview, Exchange Online, and the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
- Familiar with remote desktop support solutions such as LogMeIn / RDP for secure remote access, troubleshooting, and assisting end users effectively.
- Understanding of core networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and basic network troubleshooting
. Proficient in leveraging AI‑driven tools, including Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini, to assist with research, documentation, ticket triage, and automation of routine IT tasks.
- Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn and stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
Advantageous Skills:
- Experience using Qualys Patch Management to automate patch deployment and reduce security exposure
- Experience with Netskope for endpoints, including policy enforcement and device-level threat protection.
- Familiarity with CrowdStrike Falcon for endpoint detection and response (EDR) and threat remediation workflows
Desired Qualifications:
- CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent foundational IT certification
- Additional CompTIA certifications (e.g., Network+, Security+)
- Microsoft certifications such as MS-900, AZ-900, or role‑relevant M365/Endpoint certifications
- Experience with ITIL‑based service management practices or ITIL Foundation certification
