MA as an Automation Engineer!

What You Will Do

  • Troubleshooting support and recovery of faults on 20+ pieces of custom robotics around the factory
  • Implement improvements to production automation systems, primarily programming Robotics, PLCs, and Vision Systems
  • Document issues and resolutions in Azure DevOps to properly convey impact to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Update documentation for changes made to deployed systems
  • Liaise with manufacturing engineering and operators to understand and resolve issues

  • The role has a foundation in controls engineering and will allow for knowledge growth on advanced robotic equipment that is transforming the way that Raytheon assembles product.
  • Learning the intricacies of every custom cell and overcoming the inevitable equipment challenges, including mechanical, electrical, and programming, will be paramount to your success.
  • The candidate will work in a highly collaborative team of automation systems engineers onsite in Andover, MA.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires BS in a STEM field AND minimum of 2+ years of experience in manufacturing operations/engineering, software engineering, systems engineering, controls engineering, and/or automation engineering;
  • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment
  • Rockwell PLC and HMI experience
  • Fanuc Robotics experience
  • Machine vision experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

Active DoD Secret Clearance

Ability to create electrical schematics

Keyence, Cognex, or iRVision experience

Advanced PLC programming knowledge, including structured text
