Title: Systems Engineer (SCCM/MECM & OT/ICS focus)

Location: The Woodlands, TX (Hybrid in 77380)

Duration: Contract-to-Hire

Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US. W2/Direct-employment only.

• This role is hybrid, 3 days a week onsite in The Woodlands, TX (77380) and will have occasional travel to the field (~15%)

Role Summary

We are seeking a Systems Engineer with strong expertise in endpoint management (SCCM/MECM) and Operational Technology (OT) environments. This role will support a hybrid infrastructure spanning cloud, on-prem, and industrial systems, helping eliminate operational bottlenecks and strengthen system reliability across field operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize SCCM/MECM (endpoint configuration & patching)
• Support OT infrastructure environments, including: • Industrial servers (e.g., Ignition, SCADA-type systems)
• Compute, storage, and identity integrations

• Administer and troubleshoot: • Windows and Linux systems
• Hybrid cloud (Azure) and on-prem environments

• Collaborate with internal teams across: • Cloud engineering
• Virtualization
• Field operations

• Assist with system design, deployment, and ongoing support
• Reduce operational risk by eliminating single points of failure

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on systems engineering experience
• Strong experience with: • SCCM / MECM (endpoint management)
• Windows and/or Linux infrastructure

• Experience working in or supporting: • OT / industrial environments (oil & gas preferred)
• Systems involving compute, storage, and identity integration

• Ability to operate as a technical generalist in a small team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with: • Azure or hybrid cloud environments
• Virtualization platforms (VMware or similar)
• Industrial platforms (Ignition, SCADA, or similar)

• Background in oil & gas or industrial sectors

Additional Details

• Travel: ~15% (project-dependent)

Work Schedule:

• This position will work 9 hours Monday - Thursday and 4 hours on Friday. The position will work a hybrid schedule. Some flexibility to work off-hours maintenance as required.
