We are seeking a proactive Systems Engineer to support Modeling Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) and other core engineering initiatives based out of San Diego, CA . The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to drive process improvements through innovative testing and data analysis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance testing protocols, develop analytical methods, and support engineering projects from concept to implementation. Develop, implement, and refine standardized testing methods to support global engineering and quality assurance initiatives.
Conduct data analysis using tools such as Python, MATLAB, and R to evaluate engineering performance and guide decision-making.
Collaborate with teams to optimize testing systems for enhanced precision, documenting iterative improvements.
Support project teams in evaluating performance metrics, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
Lead technical workshops and provide training on data science techniques to enhance team skillsets.
Assist in preparing detailed engineering documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Participate in cross-functional projects, contributing to process innovation and quality improvements.
Qualifications for a Systems Engineer:
Bachelor's Degree in Systems, Software, or related STEM degree field with 2 years of experience; Strong background in core engineering principles with hands-on experience in testing and quality.
Experience in programming languages including Python, MATLAB, and R.
Experience guiding teams or providing technical support in an educational or professional setting is desirable.
Ability to perform data analysis and statistical evaluation.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of developing and refining testing methods to improve system precision and performance.
Must be US Citizen.
Clearance: The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required.
Master’s Degree in Systems, Software, or related STEM degree field with 2 years of experience; or 0 years experience with a PhD.
Practical experience with tools such as Minitab, JMP, and Solidworks.
Experience in machine learning applications.
Active Secret+ Security Clearance.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
