Join us as a System V&V Engineer and play a pivotal role in the integration, verification, and validation (V&V) of advanced diagnostic instruments. In this position, you’ll impact the entire product lifecycle—from development through post-market support—driving change and making a difference every day.

This is a fully onsite role based in San Diego, CA.

Here’s what you’ll do: Design and execute rigorous system test protocols for hardware, software, and molecular diagnostic platforms. Develop automated processes for molecular diagnostic assays, including liquid handling, sample processing, and optical analysis. Interpret data sets, software, and hardware logs, creating clear and concise technical reports with impactful results. Assist with all aspects of the medical device life cycle, including root cause analysis, troubleshooting product problems, improvements, and field complaints. Review data and recommend actions based on statistical analysis tools (Excel, JMP, etc.). Mentor junior engineers, providing feedback and coaching for growth. You’re a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You’re passionate about mentoring and driving collaboration across teams. Qualifications: PhD, master’s, or bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related field. 5–8 years of experience in system/product testing with hardware and software components. Experience in instrument platform development and V&V for medical devices.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $98,500 to $154,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs, and market demand.
