The Opportunity
As our Big Data Architect, you will lead our team to design and implement market leading Enterprise Data Architecture and advanced analytics solutions utilizing big data platforms, cloud technologies and data architectures. In addition, your new role will include:
- Document the architecture against business requirements
- Learn about new data and analytics technologies and methodologies, advising clients on latest technologies
- Lead and mobilise engagement teams on Data Architecture and Data Platform Builds
- Lead pursuit of new engagements and projects
- Consult on Big Data Architecture technologies to senior client stakeholders
- Provide career development coaching, performance feedback and direction to team members
Skills and attributes for success
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role as Solution Architect, Data Warehouse Architect or Big Data Architect.
- Expert in Big Data platforms (Hortonworks, MAPR, EMR, HDInsight or Cloudera)
- Strong in batch and real-time streaming technologies (Datastage, Informatica, ODI, Spark, Flink, Kafka)
- Strong in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Alibaba)
- Ability to lead business development with a proven track record of achieving consulting sales in the Data & Analytics domain
- Experience with or knowledge of traditional DW environments: Teradata, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server
- Fluency in English, Mandarin or Cantonese preferred
