TechOps Engineer – Leading Investment Bank

Our client is a top-tier global financial institution seeking an experienced TechOps Engineer with strong Calypso exposure to support and enhance its trading and post-trade systems. This is a critical role within a high-performing operations and engineering team, ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of mission-critical platforms supporting global markets.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing production environments, troubleshooting complex issues, and working closely with cross-functional teams to support front-to-back trading operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide monitoring and support for Calypso-based trading systems, ensuring high availability and reliability across global markets.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues across application, database, and infrastructure layers with a strong focus on root cause analysis.
• Fine-tune system performance, including SQL queries and Linux-based environments, to support high-volume transaction processing.
• Manage deployments, releases, and environment configurations across development, UAT, and production systems.
• Partner with developers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Education and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a TechOps / Production Support / Application Support role within financial services.
• Hands-on experience with Calypso (preferred), with a strong understanding of trading or post-trade systems.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Solid experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
• Familiarity with incident management, monitoring tools, and release processes in a production setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
