**Overview:**
The Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering at the University of Miami is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual for a tenured/tenure-track position at the assistant or associate levels starting in Spring 2026. We are looking for an exceptional researcher, teacher, and mentor who is committed to advancing diversity and inclusion within the department. **Responsibilities:**
- Conduct research in data analytics, machine learning, statistics, operations research, advanced manufacturing, and human-machine interfaces (HMI)
- Teach classes at the undergraduate and graduate level
- Mentor students and foster an inclusive academic environment
- Contribute to the department's research and teaching activities
- Participate in departmental and college-level service and leadership roles
- *Qualifications:**
- Earned a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or a closely related discipline
- Demonstrated excellence in research, teaching, and service
- Commitment to mentoring students and fostering an inclusive academic environment
- Ability to teach classes at the undergraduate and graduate level
- Senior faculty will be expected to play a leadership role within their department and promote interdisciplinary research throughout the University
