Role: Automation Specialist
Location: Canada(Remote)
Responsibilities:
- 10+ years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance
- 4+ years of experience testing enterprise automation, RPA, or Windows-based automation solutions
- Strong hands-on experience in manual functional and regression testing
- Mandatory experience across all tester ceremonies: test case design, test execution, defect logging, re-testing, regression testing, UAT execution, and release readiness support
- Experience testing migration or conversion programs (legacy technology to modern platforms preferred)
- Experience validating business workflows, batch processes, file-based and data-driven automations
- Working knowledge of C# / .NET from a tester perspective (logic understanding and test derivation)
- Strong SQL skills to independently validate automation outputs and data integrity
- Hands-on experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments with a 2-week sprint cadence
- Experience using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or equivalent ALM tools for defect and sprint tracking
- Direct involvement in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders
- Prior experience in Healthcare, Insurance, or other regulated environments preferred (HIPAA / SOX exposure)
- Ability to manage testing across multiple automations with varying complexity levels
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with stakeholder-facing experience
- Comfortable working with onshore and offshore teams across time zones
- WinBatch experience is desirable (nice to have, not mandatory)
- Role is purely testing and validation focused; development, scripting, or test automation framework work is not part of scope
