Test Lead – Data Engineering (Snowflake & DBT)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and own end-to-end data testing strategy for Snowflake-based data platforms
• Design and implement test plans, test cases, and test automation frameworks for data pipelines
• Validate ETL/ELT workflows, data transformations, and business rules using DBT
• Perform data reconciliation and validation between source and target systems
• Ensure data quality, completeness, and consistency across systems
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements
• Drive test automation using SQL, DBT tests, and other modern tools
• Identify, track, and resolve data defects and inconsistencies
• Lead test execution, reporting, and defect management
• Mentor and guide junior testers and offshore teams

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Data Testing / ETL Testing / Data QA
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake
• Solid experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) for transformation testing
• Expertise in SQL and complex query validation
• Experience in data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schema)
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data validation techniques
• Experience with test automation frameworks for data validation
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
