About the position
The Global Trade Compliance team enables compliant, efficient, and scalable global operations by embedding trade compliance into data, systems, and processes. We partner cross‑functionally across finance, supply chain, IT, and external service providers to automate trade operations, mitigate duty spend, and ensure adherence to complex global regulatory requirements. The team operates at the intersection of trade compliance, data analytics, and technology, continuously advancing the maturity of global trade programs.
The Trade Analyst supports the effectiveness and scalability of global duty mitigation programs through data‑driven insight, systems enablement, and strong regulatory execution. This role transforms complex trade and financial data into actionable recommendations, supports automation initiatives, and partners cross‑functionally to ensure global trade programs are compliant, efficient, and built to scale.
Responsibilities
- Drive global duty mitigation initiatives through data‑driven analysis to improve compliance, scalability, and financial outcomes.
- Apply deep knowledge of trade and customs regulations (including FTAs and Duty Drawback) to ensure compliant program design and execution.
- Validate trade data and controls to maintain accuracy, integrity, and ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Support internal and external audits, including CBP reviews, by analyzing data, preparing documentation, and strengthening audit readiness.
- Analyze complex trade, finance, and ERP datasets (e.g., SAP) to identify risks, trends, and opportunities to optimize duty savings.
- Deliver clear financial reporting and insights, translating complex data into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
- Identify process gaps and lead continuous improvement initiatives using scalable, technology‑enabled solutions.
- Partner cross‑functionally with global stakeholders to manage projects, communicate progress, and drive accountability.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, process flows, controls, and metrics to enable consistent global execution.
- Partner with IT and system owners to design, implement, and enhance automated trade solutions (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, FTZ systems, broker integrations).
- Support system implementations and enhancements, including requirements definition, UAT testing, and post‑deployment validation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in global trade, trade compliance, or related functions such as logistics or supply chain.
- Experience leading projects and collaborating cross‑functionally with stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Strong data analysis skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
Nice-to-haves
- Advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience with Duty Drawback, Free Trade Agreements, Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ), or similar programs.
- Experience in the technology sector or highly automated operating environments.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and trade automation initiatives.
- Additional language proficiency.
